Strengthening Professional Excellence Through University Partnership – SASA and UNISA
The South African Society of Archivists is proud to announce a strengthened partnership with the University of South Africa (UNISA) through the Department of Information Science. This partnership further reinforces our commitment to advancing industry expertise, research, and professional development.
This crucial collaboration between two giant institutions intend to provide our esteemed members with access to cutting-edge academic resources, specialised training programs, and collaborative research opportunities that bridge the gap between theory and practice.
As a pledge of being more than an association, SASA strives to work closely with universities, experts, and upcoming professionals, to positively shape the ARM practices in South Africa and beyond.This, one of many ways that we aim to foster innovation, enhance professional standards, and support lifelong learning for our members, as well as ensuring that members remain at the forefront of industry advancements.
The year 2025 present another opportunity for SASA to partake in the Fourth Biennial International Conference on Library and Information Science in Africa (UNILISA) hosted by Unisa in Muckleneuk Campus, Pretoria from 01-04 April 2025, which is exactly three (3) months before SASA opens its doors for yet another annual conference to be held in the Western Cape Province.
